Yesterday, a brand new trailer for the upcoming How to Train your Dragon 2 movie was released by Dreamworks, and it looks epic. It is set five years into the future from the original movie, which was released in 2010. Hiccup and Toothless have successfully united all dragons and Vikings and are now adventuring into the skies, exploring new territories.

“When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace. Now, Hiccup and Toothless must unite to stand up for what they believe while recognizing that only together do they have the power to change the future of both men and dragons”

The movie is due for release in June 2014, but this is not what I am most excited about. I came across a trailer for How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular, and could not believe how amazing it looked, and that I had never heard of this before. It is an arena show adaption of the original feature film, produced in partnership with Global Creatures, the guys who created the amazing Walking with Dinosaurs live show. It was premiered in 2012, and features 24 impressive animatronic dragons, along with all of the Vikings from the movie; Hiccup, Astrid, Stoick etc. The show has toured Australia, New Zealand and most of America, settling in China. I can’t say I have a trip to China in the pipeline, but I sure as hell wish I did now.

Below are trailers for the upcoming How to Train Your Dragon 2, and the Live show.
