– Game of Thrones season 4 now has a release date. A brand new trailer was accompanied by a date of the 6th April 2013. Mark it in your calendar.

– Michael Douglas has been announced to play Hank Pym in the upcoming Ant-Man movie directed by Edgar Wright. He will star opposite Paul Rudd, who was confirmed to play the part of Scott Lang earlier in the year. The full movie plot is yet to be released, but Wright hints that it will tell the background story of both men, how Lang comes across the Ant-Man suit, and their relationship with each other. The movie is set for release in July 2015.

– Bill Paxton will join the cast of Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, appearing in at least four episodes. Paxton is set to play Agent John Garret – a high level agent, with a thirst for being out in the field, and an explosive attitude to boot. Lady Sif from Thor is also due to appear in one of the upcoming episodes.

– Batman Vs Superman’s theatrical release date has been pushed back to May 2016, from July 2015. This apparently coincides with a yet-to-be-titled Marvel movie (cheeky Disney). The film will star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Man of Steel actors Amy Adams, Laurence Fishbourne, and Diane Lane are also confirmed to appear in the movie.

– It has been rumoured that Johnny Depp has been in discussions with Marvel Studios about potentially playing Stephen Strange in an upcoming Doctor Strange movie. The film has been in development for quite a while now, though a release date has not been given.

– Nightcrawler will be getting his very own comic book (which I am personally very excited for). The blue teleporter’s new comic series will begin in April, spinning off from the current Amazing X-Men series. Wolverine will apparently be making an appearance early on.

– Everybody’s favourite Batman TV series will be released later this year as a complete boxset. The 1960’s show, starring Adam West as the caped crusader, is long overdue a DVD release. Exact date is yet to be confirmed.
