The Fantastic Four reboot is well on its way into the development stages now that Fox have cast their team of heroes. All they are in need of is a villain. Now, we all know you can’t have a Fantastic Four movie without the presence of their most recognised nemesis Doctor Doom, and that’s who Fox have been searching for; an actor to play the evil genius.
There was loads of speculation earlier this year, as to whether Director Josh Trank was going to go somewhere very few people have gone before, and conjure up a bit of gender bending by casting a female as Victor Von Doom (or Victoria Von Doom). Unfortunately, that must have been a mahoosive rumour because he has revealed the four actors on his short list, and none of them are ladies.
The potential four include Sam Riley, Eddie Redmayne, Toby Kebbell, and Domhnall Gleeson – all from the UK, and all in their early 30’s. I can’t picture any of these guys as Doctor Doom, especially not Domhnall Gleeson (who played ginger Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter movies) but I love surprises, so am looking forward to seeing who gets the part. The winner will join Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, and Kate Mara, who were recently cast as the superhero team, Fantastic Four.
