Avengers Age of Ultron Trailer

Marvel have just released their second trailer for the upcoming Avengers movie; Age of Ultron, and by jove am I excited to see this film ..why is May so far away?

The latest trailer still doesn’t reveal a huge amount of info, and has actually unearthed more questions than it has solved, but it has revealed a few little things that have caught my eye, so I’ve created a little break down.
Here are my thoughts:

Firstly, let’s start off with the characters we’ve seen before. We glimpse a lot more of Hawkeye this time around. He opens the trailer, evacuating a city of people, and returns later watching an explosion – both appear to be solo missions. Hopefully this means he’ll get a bit more screen time in this movie.

We’re then quickly introduced to the rest of the Avengers; Captain America, Bruce Banner, Black Widow, but focus has to go to Tony Stark. His entrance to a pretty derelict building while Ultron states ‘Everything creates the thing they dread’ reminds us that it was he who created this genocidal maniac, and not Hank Pym (Ant-Man) like in the comic books.

We get a quick glance at Quicksilver, but it’s his twin, Scarlet Witch, who the trailer focuses on out of the two. She pops up at least three times, one of these showing off her abilities – those glowing red beams. Someone else seems to have signs of these red beams; Ultron. And guess what else is red – Hulk’s eyes!

We know the Hulk can be unpredictable at times, but Bruce Banner seemed to have his anger under control at the end of the last film. It appears he’s had some help getting his fury back, either from the Scarlet Witch, or Ultron – not sure which. He probably has the most trailer time – his fight with Iron Man’s new Hulk sized armour is the biggest scene, so is bound to be one of the more prominent fights in the film.

Now for the people I don’t recognise. Who is the woman undressing by that lake in the cave? She appears about 33 seconds in, and has dark skin. Trying not to jump to conclusions because of her race, it is possible she is a native of Wakanda – the home of Black Panther. BP is getting his own movie in 2017, so it’s not unreasonable to think that he and his country may appear in the Avengers movie, especially seen as they produce Vibranium, which is a rare metal that Ultron ultimately uses to rebuild himself.

Black Panther himself doesn’t seem to make an appearance in the trailer at all, but something else appears to link back to him – Andy Serkis. Serkis pops up around 54 seconds in, and is rumoured to be playing Ulysses Klaw, one of Black Panthers nemesis’. Surely this just strengthens the possibility of the Wakandian showing up?

There is one last person I am curious about – the lady 40 seconds in, who pushes a seemingly young Black Widow down onto a bed. I have literally no idea who she is, but my guess is she is something to do with Black Widow’s origin story, which hasn’t really been touched on in Marvel’s cinematic universe so far.

The only thing I’m disappointed about is the lack of a certain android. Vision, who will be played by Paul Bettany, still hasn’t made an appearance in either trailer. He is one of my favourite characters, so the suspense to see him is kind of killing me; still, I commend Marvel for keeping back a few surprises.
