Back to the Future is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year, so it’s the perfect time for IDW to announce that they will be publishing a series of comics based on the trilogy.
The comic book, titled ‘Untold Tales and Alternate Timelines’, will be written by Back to the Future co-creator Bob Gale. He will collaborate with comic book writers John Barber and Erik Burnham, as well as the artists Brent Schoonover and Dan Schoening.
Burnham and Schoening are no strangers to transforming 1980’s Science Fiction onto paper, as they are both currently working on the Ghostbusters series. It sounds like Back to the Future will be in good hands.
To date, not too much has been revealed about the storyline, though the first issue is said to focus on Marty McFly and Doc Brown meeting each other for the first time. It will premiere in October.
