This is one of the most gorgeous books I have ever seen. It’s an absolute gem, a book that you only come across once in a lifetime. It is called ‘Field Guide to Kanto’ and was written, and illustrated by Professor Kari Fry, who has been studying Pokemon for the past fifteen years. The book is a 158 full colour guide on the creatures inhabiting the Kanto Region. It’s 151 beautifully detailed drawings of every first generation Pokemon, are accompanied by an in depth description of their physical appearance, their habitat, and their characteristics.
